We recently have been told by some patients that they’ve experienced their call being cut off whilst they have been waiting in the queue to be answered.
We obviously were very concerned about this and have investigated the matter with our telephone provider who has done a thorough audit of some affected calls.
They have discovered that there is no problem with our line but calls made to us using a mobile phone can be ‘dropped’ by their Network provider eg EE, O2 etc. This is probably caused by the caller having a poor signal strength for their phone which means that the call is stopped. Unfortunately, there is nothing we can do about this but please be assured that we are answering calls as quickly as we can and it is not our receptionists putting the phones down on you.
